hide dashboard items with restricted access

I've set up a group with a limited access to admin area; however the user still able to see all menu items on the dashboard page. Even the one that have no access. Clicking on those menu items will result in "Page Forbidden" message, which is expected.

Is there a way to hide menu items with access restrictions from a user/group?

I just found a solution on the c5's IRC channel.

I clearing cache and discovered that all pages had access enabled for a restricted user/group. Once permissions were fixed all links with restricted access were gone.
