Home Page Is Mostly Blank After Uploading On Server

Could anyone tell me the root of the problem behind most of a home page not displaying on this site? Is it something missing on the server? I built the site locally, had no technical problems, but now that I've launched it live on this University's server, most of the home page content does not display while all of the other pages and functions are fine.

it could be a server configuration issue, if you used a different pagetype for the home page make sure that full uploaded

in editmode, does it show anything?

Thanks for getting back so fast. The same problem in edit mode. When I click on edit blocks, the blocks are missing, but only on the home page. when I check view source, much of the blocks are missing, but only on the home page. To add another clue, I uploaded the site on my shared server, and this problem didn't happen, only the UW server (the one that counts). Does, this narrow down the culprit for anyone?

It was a server configuration issue. I had a systems administrator at UW take care of the problem. Thanks.
