How do I remove the search indexing job?
In the Dashboard at System and Maintenance / Jobs there is a Job scheduled called "Index Search Engine".
If I understand what this job does it is completely unnecessary at my site as I will be using a search index independent of C5 if I use one at all.
I am trying to speed up C5 and removing any functionality that either I or my clients will not need (so far I have sped it up a lot and am tweaking it to speed it up even more).
So...how do I remove this job?
There is no Remove button next to it like there is for other jobs I don't need.
Anybody?

Well...at least now I know it's special and can't be removed :).
I also came to realize after I uploaded my question that the last time that job was run was way back at the beginning of March which would, as you say, have had absolutely no impact on the speed of my site even if I had been able to remove it.
Which at this point and in view of what you said would be a waste of my time to try and do.
Thanks for the heads up Jordan!

Jobs won't slow down your site as long as you don't run them, there is no harm in keeping it there.
All that being said, if you *really* want to remove it, go into the database and change the "jNotUninstallable" field of the Jobs table from 1 to 0. BUT I have no idea if this will break your system -- it's possible concrete5 expects that job to be there and things will break if it's not. Really it's best just to leave it there. It's not going to impact the speed of your site at all.
