I can't log in to my website any more

Hi,
Earlier today I did some editing on my site & whilst doing so set it up for member registration using email as login name. Checking after all seemed well with my own username appearing as a member.
Having logged out I subsequently tried to sign back in to edit my site & found that the sign in wouldn't accept my username, or my email address. I even tried using the 'forgotten your password' function, but this also wouldn't recognise any email address I entered.
So, I cannot find a way back in & although, I dare say, there is a way to do it via the installation files, I'm not that hot when it comes to tinkering with the workings of this sort of thing!
Can anyone help with this one please?
Cheers.

If you don't mind marking the advise as "Best Answer" it'll hopefully be found easier by others with the same problem

Done!
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
If you can access your database files at your installation (using phpmyadmin or something similar) you'll be able to view the Users table to see registered emails etc.
Also: I believe the Logs area will display the contents of any password reset email generated that you may not have received.
Hope this helps
