Identifying changed core files

When I originally set up my c5 site I had a little trouble wrapping my head around the idea of core files and may have changed a few of them, but I'm not sure. After working with c5 for a few months I'm comfortable with it and have managed to correct most of the initial mistakes I made.

Is there a procedure, or an add-on, that will only identify any core files that have been changed? I could copy the site's file structure to another location, re-install the c5 core files, and do a directory/file compare of the two, but was wondering if there was a less involved method.

Thanks!

What version are you using?
If you are not using 5.6.1.2 then you could try an update (make a back up of files and database first) and this would swap out the core for you and your new core would sit in the /update folder.
You would then have a fresh untouched core to run your site.

If there is a reason that you modified your core this may not be a good idea as your changes would disappear.

Just a thought

I'm currently running 5.6.0.2

That's what I'm afraid of - the new core files wiping out any mistakenly made changes.

No worries, I'll copy the existing site, run the 5.6.1.2 update, and see if anything breaks. If it does I can run a directory compare to fish out the delta.

Thanks!
