Initial Installation
Permalink
Hi and thank you for your support.
I have two iWeb sites hosted with MacHighway. I wanted to re-do one of the sites using Concrete5 site builder. I downloaded (installed) Concrete5 and received an email confirmation.
When I login to edit/rebuild the site I'm simply directed to the original website itself, without any editing options. Have I not indicated the correct "file/url" when installing Concrete5? My domain name did not come with c5host.com address (I did not fill anything in the box next to my domain name during the 3 questions of installation).
How can I keep the domain name while using and editing with Concrete5?
Also, as I was "messing around"... I guess I created a temporary (try-out) Concrete5 site. Got an email confirmation. I was able to access the editing page yesterday but today as I was going through the same steps I can't even get to the login page. I click on the server URL and I just get a generic Concrete5 page, no place for User/Password place holders.
Have I messed things up by doing the "try-out" as well? I don't really need it if I can get my real site working. How can I delete the "try-out" site?
Thanks for your patience as I'm new to this.

So you downloaded the concrete5 archive (install) and put it on your host and having these troubles? Is the url publicly available, so I could trouble shoot it for you.
