Install Folder

Question: Does Concrete5 have to be installed in the root (top level) of my domain site? ie: domainname/public_html/
I tried putting the unzipped files in a folder below the public_html root to do a little experimenting and when running the install routine I got an error about not finding the "jobs" folder and the path it listed showed it was looking for it up one level.
Thx,
Chuck

just look into /config/site.php and make the right settings there.
Strange,
I couldn't find this file so I went back to SourceForge and re-downloaded the 5.3.2 zip file and I sorted the zip on file name and there is no site.php file in this zip file. Also noticed on the first install screen a mention of a "packages" directory/folder that wasn't included either (I just created one to start the install).
Is there something wrong with the zipped install package ?
Thx,
Chuck

it isn't present in the zip file. Concrete5 writes to config/site.php and probably config/site_theme_paths.php
