Installation error

Hello
I'm having problems installing C5. I manage to get to the setup page where the module checks that each service is running (php etc.) then click install but after this I simply get a blank page.
I assume it could be a possible .htaccess or php.ini error. Anything in particular I should look for when running phpinfo? Can't get access to the Apache log because of hosting restrictions.

usually on first install, after you hit install it goes to a white screen and it takes a while as its importing a ton of tables. the page should still be loading though, if you are having a bunch of problems i can always make you an sql dump.
Well, I have let it go almost a day, and nothing new happens. Still the blank page =(
I have checked out the files in my phpAdmin-site and it looks ok from what I see.
The hosting site have green-lit the C5-program also, so I don´t see what could be wrong. I´m not an expert on these things...
