Installation error

Hello all, I'm trying to do a clean install of concrete5.7.5.13 to test the upgrade process to 8.5.2, however my problem comes in the very first step.
I downloaded and unzipped concrete5.7.5.13, changed it's name to example-sit2 and when accessing it via browser for the install it fails the "Cookies Enabled" check (also tried creating the dir and then passing on the content, result is the same).
I've tried with 3 different browsers and all had cookies enabled.
In the other post I saw with this error people talked about not having spaces in the directory but mine never had spaces so I'm not sure what to do...
Tried the same process with 5.6.4.0 and the check fails as well.
When I tried directly with 8.5.2 the check appears as green and I can do the install if I wanted, but I'm interested in the update process to this version, not the direct install itself.
All the dirs have the needed permissions and ownership as well.
If more context is needed feel free to ask.
Anyone has any suggestions or ideas?

Many thanks John, through the CLI I could bypass the cookies check and directly install concrete5.7.5.13 :D
