Installation from 5.4.0.5 to 5.4.1.1 failure

Hello,

I'm getting this error when I try downloading the latest update:

* The directory /home1/smackmel/public_html/updates does not exist.

I'm not quite sure why or where that directory is or why it's not there. Any guidance would be great, thanks.

In the root of you Concrete5 folder are a series of other folders. One of these folders is the updates folder. There are a couple of things that could be causing the error:

1. The updates folder has been deleted.
2. Your permissions on the updates folder do not allow the web user account (often wwwdata) to access the folder.

If the folder does not exist, create it and try again. If the folder does exist, try setting the ownership of the folder and its contents to the web user account. If that does not work, try setting the permissions on the updates account to 777 and try again.

I hope that helps.

Hi. I am also experiencing the same error that the home/cmoms/public_html/updates folder does not exists. I am confused at exactly where I should be looking for the folder. I went to the full site map and created the folder structure in navigation and it's still not working. Can you help me?
