installing audio library
Permalink
hi there,
it becomes almost a soap, this audio library, but in a way I hate it to call it like that.
what's the problem??
I bought audio library and wrote the person who made it, but no reactions at all .. wrote him several times
Then one of the forum people told me to write him if I did not succeed with the installation. So I wrote him, but no reaction :(
I bought in the meanwhile wympi player and perhaps I am going to use it.
But I don't like it to spend 38$ for a add-on what is not working, and before I start the refund action, I thought let's give it a try ..
So I have installed the audio library manual, because the normal installation was not functioning and now I see a unknown package and I get the message that the audio library will not work when I click on the 'can't install' text.
"This package is corrupted. Make sure that it has a valid controler.php file and that it has been updated for concrete 5.7 or later.
Who wants to help me ??

Can you please confirm that when you did the manual installation you unzipped the file you downloaded, and that your file path looks like: /packages/package_name/controller.php when you unzip a folder sometimes it gives you an extra outer directory that needs to be discarded.
the controller.php file is in the right place

You're not trying to use this package:https://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/audio-library/... on a 5.7 site, are you? Because this package is for 5.4 — 5.6.3.4 and that is stated at the bottom of the Add-On page.
oh so that is the problem ... in all my innocence I looked around in both marketplaces for an add-on, but was not aware of this
so if I would had it run on a 5.6 site and I would have upgraded to 5.7 my add-on would stop functioning? If that is true why should I buy any add-on?
Any way, thanks for the help. At least I know now why it was not working.
Stefan.
