Installing c5 on surftown server?

Hi,

I know there has been some talking about this issue before, but I haven't found a suitable solution to this yet..

I am running my website on Surftown, which run with Safe mode ON! you can see all server details here :

I then found some workarounds that should make up for this, but still I get alot of errors and c5 is useless.I get errors like this now

The script whose uid/gid is 213883/213883 is not allowed to access /hsphere/local/home/hjelmdal/vipz.dk/concrete5/files/cache_objects owned by uid/gid 398/398 in /hsphere/local/home/hjelmdal/vipz.dk/concrete5/concrete/libraries/cache/default.php on line 44


What I really need is to hear, if it is possible to make C5 running properly on this server, or if I have to change to another webhost? and if it is possible to run C5 with all its functions, I would really be grateful if someone could post a step to step guide on how to install C5 on this specifik server specs.

make a .htaccess file and stick this in it:

php_value safe_mode "0"


also make sure /files is chmodded 777

without the <?php and ?>
keeps adding that :(

unfortunately this will not take effect.. safe mode is still on.. surftown must have some settings that override this.. :( any other suggestions?

Surftown kommer aldrig att ändra detta men dom kommer att erbjuda en VSp typ en virituell server variant men till ett högre pris..
