Installing on sub-domain rather than domain

I have a site which is not using C5. But the client wants to run a competition at an expo then harvest the contact details.

So I need to install C5 on a sub-domain in order to build the micro-site which will only run for the length of the event.

Step-by-step, what do I need to do please?

I thought that too.

But how do I create a database that links only to the sub-domain (I am using cPanel)

When I do the normal install I get an 'Access Forbidden' error for the sub-domain url.
