Links in Footer are Weird, Not Good

Check the attached image "weird".

I am hosting at bluehost.

This site, and another doing the same odd thing, are both subdomains of my primary account domain, but they have their own FQDNs and resolve properly. They are set up right at bluehost.

Why does it say:

"install concrete 5" and "web hosting"?

Check the attached image "good".

Those links are NOT shown on my primary domain page which is also a C5 page.

How can I get rid of those links?

Thanks!

Looks like two different themes, in which case you would have to edit the theme footer file. This can be found in

/themes/yourtheme/elements/footer.php

How?

There is nothing in themes when viewed via cpanel file manager.

Your screenshot looks like the default theme, so I guess that would be in /concrete/themes/default/elements/footer.php

Although I'm not really sure where those links are coming from as I don't see them in any default installed themes.

I found and edited the links OUT of the footer in the theme I am using, but they are still there.

Interesting.

try clearing the cache

Tried that first. No go.

Very odd.

Any C5 admins out there?

We don't have a lot of information to help troubleshoot the problem. Are you able to provide us links to the good site and the two problematic sites?

The screen shots provided don't tell us much. Anything else you can give us other than links would help.

Are these fresh installs?
What theme is being used?
What modifications (add-ons, blocks, etc.) have you done?
Did this just appear, or was it there from the start?

might be you've got multiple themes on yer system and aren't editing the right one.

I went to the footer page on each of the 3 themes (2 are identical but for different sites) and edited out the links, IF they were there.

No go.

These are the only installs ever on this hosting package. New as of a few weeks ago.

Nothing else on the site.

The black one, working, is the primary.

The other two (weird) are subdomains.

Can you send us links to the sites so we can view the source and see it in action?

on a sidenote, did anyone else monitoring this thread get spammed by someone called nudepicx? edit: I see he got marked as a troll. never mind.

1. Yes, I think we all got the SPAM. Admins should certainly look in to that!

2. Well, I went back in today and edited the footers again and this time it took.

I did the EXACT same thing I did yesterday and for some reason it worked.

So, thanks for the help!
