localhost to webhost problem

So, I finally got my site working on HostGator after many days.
My biggest problem was not knowing about the whole DB tables being in lower case.
I got through that, painfully
Now when I go to my site only the home screen shows up.
Any link on my menu bars gives me an internal 500 error.
I think it may have to do with permissions, but I'm not sure which file or folder.
any help would be awesome.
