Log in problem

I am a new user, being hosted by DeamHost. I did a one click install of C5, received the email with the hostname, database, user and password. I entered my site and did some work. I logged out and now am unable to log in. I have gone back to DreamHost and used the user and password to log in to MyPhPAdmin, but it does not work fr C5. Please help.
My version is 5.5.2. The changes I made when I was in edit mode were published and viewable. I just can not gey back into edit mode.
Did you write down the Concrete 5 admin password? I believe in that version, C5 generates it for you and presents it on the screen.
The installation process can move pretty quick.
If you didn't write the Concrete 5 admin password down, try, on the login screen, to have the password emailed to you.
If that doesn't work, here are some other remedies:

Then, on a standard install, you can login through the link at the bottom of the home page, or access the dashboard, as John Paul notes below.

Hello sc500mbsc,
There is no need to access PHPmyadmin to work on your site, you just need to access the Dashboard.
You can login to the dashboard by going to:
http://yourdomain.com/index.php/login... (be sure to replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.)
Here is a link to an article I did on how to login to the Concrete5 Dashboard:

I hope this helps,

1. were shown a "successful installation" form with the admin password, or, for more recent versions:
2. you were able to enter an admin password.
If you noted either of those in the process, that's the key to logging in to the front end administration.
Alternatively, if your email is setup properly, you should have the ability to request your password to be sent to you from the login screen.
Does that help?
