looking for a text drop down
Permalink
Is there an add on that will allow me to create a text drop down for one of our pages so that I can display text better. I want to be able to have a list that when clicked on will display a description and then an email, for example:
Title of list
Category 1 --> (mouse hover reveals description)-->( contact info)
Category 2
Category 3
To see what I’m kind of looking for please visit a church site I found, under their list of “service times” on their home pagehttp://www.bca-online.com/
I would like to include something like this on one of our pages, please visithttp://www.mvfredmond.org/index.php?cID=135...
right now it’s just a large section of text
fyi: I am not a web designer by trade, I tried to snip the source code from the page I found, modify it, and I plugged it into the html section of edit content, but it didn’t turn out.
Also if I purchased mega menu would it do this or will it automatically plug in my home page navigations?

Oh, while I'm here -- I can make an educated guess on the Mega Menu question but your best bet is to post this as a pre-sale question on Mega Menu's marketplace page (under Pre-Sale questions, second option on the right hand menu onhttp://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/mega-menu/).... This way, you'll get the official answer from the developer himself...
Your advice was SUPER helpful, that show/hide add on is just what I need for right now. Thanks. When you done with what you’re working on could you post your site, I might still want to get that code from you
Again, thanks a ton

If that doesn't help, I'm building a simpler expand/collapse (with just a plus/minus indicator instead of a more complicated control) along the same principles for my website (oddly, I'm doing this as we speak, which is what got me in this thread in the first place). You can see this capability demoed at:

PM or reply if you're interested in the code -- right now its part of a package, but I can break the code out into a simple block for you...
