Lost access after upgrade sequence

Hello.
Something strange happened to my admin account.
My site is hosted in Hostmonsters. A few days ago, with SimpleScripts, I went through the Concrete5 update sequence, up to the latest version. Everything went fine.
But today, when I tried to login as admin, access was denied, and I was unable to generate a password reset, because the e-mail account was unknown (!).
I ended up editing the users table in the database, just to find that the admin e-mail account was 'you@yourdomain.com' (!).
I corrected it, and was at last able to generate a password reset.
Everything is fine now, but I thought it might be interesting to report this weird situation.
