Migrated site, but the content isn't loading
Permalink
I recently moved a site to a new host. At first it wouldn't load at the new location, but now an empty site is loading. Has the header, but none of the content is there. I have tried setting up a second SQL database, but that didn't help. Is it possible I installed the wrong version of C5 and it isn't happy with the database format? Is there any way to determine the version of C5 the database is from? Sadly, the old hosting account closed on Monday and the server is gone. Thought I had this working before that happened. Every other site is fine, of course. If I start from scratch, is there a way to import the old site data into a new database?

Which table(s) would be good to check to confirm that the page content is in there? I tried running the database repair option in the dashboard but it didn't help. The site is simple enough I can redo it easily but it would be easier to find the content in the database.
ALso, I have all the images in the Files folder from before, but in the dashboard I see no files in the file manager. I'm afraid I have an empty database for some reason.
peruse around your database a bit and see if you recognize your content. If not, reupload your database. If that doesn't work, I'd probably start copy and pasting content.
I threw in the towel and started to rebuild the site. Luckily it wasn't super complicated yet. The mystery remains.
Did you follow these instructions?

One thing that might help would be to put the site in development mode (via the dashboard, maybe DB too?) so you see any PHP errors it may be throwing. This may help you debug.
