Hi
I'm hoping to use Concrete 5 for a couple of sites I'm planning to build but have hit a snag.
The host I'm looking to use is large hosting service called Fasthosts in the UK, but it looks like their unix servers may not be built consistantly and on one of the server concrete5.3.0 dies on the first time installtion scrip, well it never get that far.
The error returned is:
Warning: require(/home/fhlinux194/c/circlecomputers.ltd.uk/user/htdocs/concrete5.3.0/concrete/startup/autoload.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/fhlinux194/c/circlecomputers.ltd.uk/user/htdocs/concrete5.3.0/concrete/dispatcher.php on line 37
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/fhlinux194/c/circlecomputers.ltd.uk/user/htdocs/concrete5.3.0/concrete/startup/autoload.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear-php5:/home/fhlinux194/c/circlecomputers.ltd.uk/user/htdocs/concrete5.3.0/libraries/3rdparty:/home/fhlinux194/c/circlecomputers.ltd.uk/user/htdocs/concrete5.3.0/concrete/config/../libraries/3rdparty') in /home/fhlinux194/c/circlecomputers.ltd.uk/user/htdocs/concrete5.3.0/concrete/dispatcher.php on line 37
But I cannot see what's wrong so I can tell them what missing.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards Gary

Yikes, I clicked on "helpful" thread and it disappeared! Sorry.
I find this is a helpful thread. I've been having a devil of a time FTP ing many concrete files up to a VPS server, with many errors, never knowing if a directory fully completed properly, and unable to hit "resume" because it is grayed out, or the connection has failed completely and hung.
The error noted above is obviously because over the last 2 1/2 days of upload, I have missed some files even though I have tried FTP PASV mode and ACTIVE mode and have checked our line speeds and rebooted the server several times. FTP will work fine for 15 minutes, or 5 minutes or 35 minutes and then come up with all kinds of errors. It never completes a subdirectory successfully. I am now doing sub-sub directories to make sure everything is up on the server. I have also taken to doing FTP upload during evening hours 9pm - 7am to eliminate net usage as a factor.
Deep file structure is a problem when using FTP.
This link confirmed my suspicions about the upload missing files.
