Moved site to new server - File Manager empty

I have moved the site (files and database) to a new server (development to live).
I followed the instructions in http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/installation/moving_a_site...
Everything else seems ok - pages display (without files from file manager), can log in, can connect it to the community.
All the files are on the server (have a script that uses the direct URLs from the file manager and they are working), and the folder and files have permissions of 777.
Nothing appears at all when I click on File Manger. When I view a page where it uses an image from the file manager the source has the src as "".
I have cleared the cache and even reuploaded the files, but I still cannot get the files to appear in the file manager.
Does anyone have any ideas why?
