moving index.php up in homesite directory
Permalink
I am simply trying to get a new site out to the public. When I installed Concrete 5.7.5.8, it put the site into a directory, I call it here Concrete5, right under my public-html directory. Now to see my website, I need to type in the addresshttp://mysite.org/Concrete5/ which gives me my web pages. When I type in my address as "http://mysite.org" -- I see a text page listing the directories under public-html. If the index.php were moved from the Concrete 5 directory up into the public-html directory, would I get my site by just typing the address "http://mysite.org", without having to add "/Concrete5/"? Do I need to do something to the .htaccess file? Are there any other changes I need to do?
Or is there another way to keep the current directory structure and get my site presented when a user types "http://mysite.org"?
Thanks from Johncneol
