Moving Site issue

I moved my site from one domain to another on a GoDaddy Linux virtual dedicated server. I followed the Moving a Site directions to a word. I also replicated the database. The /files directory, and all sub-directories of it have been CHMOD'd to 777.

The site works on the new domain, but I can no longer upload new images using the Dashboard File Manager. I get this error message:

"Unable to copy file to storage directory. Please check permissions on your upload directory and ensure they can be written to by your web server."

Any ideas on what to try next?

Yip same problem here, it won't work, no matter what. My site has been moving to a IIS windows environment server hosting, tried setting the directories rights to all. Still cannot upload an image.

Does this perhaps have to do with user privileges on the Mysql database ? running out of idea's
