My Concrete5 site does not allow me to go to my host's management site

Hi,

This might seem like a silly problem but I am not sure how to go about it. My host has a web interface throughwww.www.yoursitename.com/manager... that I would like to be able to access. However, since my Concrete5 site does not have a page at /manager, it redirects to my 404 page.

Do you guys know how I could access the /manager site without having Concrete5 showing the 404 page?

Thanks for your help!

Hi!

Is the manager option not going through:
http://hostingprovider.com/manager/...
instead of your own domain!?

Hi 5Numb3rs,

No, the manager site (control panel) is accessed throughwww.www.yourdomain.com/manager/...

Here's the host's helpdoc on the site manager:

West host provides dedicated servers besides just website hosting, thus they have two different login pages for each.

Here's the link for the site manager login (it just redirects to mydomain.com/manager/):

Hi!,

Did you purchase a new domain name?
Can be the dns did not resolves your domain yet, can take hours or a day!
ps

Did see this text:

You can administer your site(s) with WestHost by logging in to your Site Manager (control panel). This can be done athttp://yourdomain.com/manager/ (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name).

NOTE: If your domain is not yet pointing to WestHost you can use your temporary URL:http://yourdomain.com.whsites.net/manager/... (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name).

No... the site has been up for almost a year now. I didn't know about this problem before because I didn't need to access the control panel until now. The site used to be hard-coded and I then adapted it to run with Concrete5.

I used the host's control panel before, so I now that it works. My problem, I think, is that Concrete5 is blocking the /manager page since it's not a concrete5 page.

No, concrete5 is not blocking your manager page.
I see on my own site with C5 installed, i can use global services like:

http://www.mijndomijn.nl/webmail...
or
http://www.mijndomijn.nl/phpmyadmin...

No problems with concrete5!

Think your hosting provider needs some maintenance on there site.
Just send them a support ticket!?

Must say they have a very difficult setup, for just maintaining a website.

Thanks 5Numb3rs, I ended up contacting my host and it seems so files were moved around (probably my fault). They are working to fix the issue.

Thanks for your help again.
