Need help upgrading from 5.5.2.1 to 5.6.0

Permalink
Looking for help in upgrading. Currently cannot upgrade from 5.5.2.1 to 5.6.0. Here's the history:
- Attempted to upgrade to 5.6.1.2 from 5.5.2.1 but received PermissionKeyInUse error;
- successfully restored back to 5.5.2.1 and found tip on upgrading first to 5.6.0;
- manually uploaded 5.6.0 to /updates;
- however this does not show on my dashboard updates page; instead I see Currently Running 5.5.2.1 Available Update Version: 5.6.1.2. Release Date: March 21, 2013
- When I Check for Updates I get "Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by . . ."
Any help would be appreciated.

after you manually uploaded 5.6.0 you have to open /index.php/tools/required/upgrade and click the upgrade button there.

Once you've done that, you can use the dashboard upgrade screen to upgrade to 5.6.1.2

It's a bug imho and known for a while..
