newbie question: index.php not in root directory
Permalink
I installed C5 in /concrete5 instead of the root directory, so index.php for the site is in /concrete5/. Can I move the index.php file, or is there a different solution (apart from reinstalling in the root directory). I can't see anything in cPanel that would allow me to point the domain URL to /concrete5.

Thanks. That sounds like a reasonable solution. Next time, I'll install C5 in the root directory! Some of my problems come from habits picked up using WP, which must be quite common (:=>
Do you need the files to be in /concrete5 for any particular reason?
If not then you can simply *move* everything up into root, but make sure to adjust config/site.php and also .htaccess if you're using pretty urls. Other than those two things, you can move the whole shebang easily, unlike Wordpress which can be a pain to move.

No. I only decided to put in a subdirectory because I thought it might keep C5stuff separate and easy to identify. Thanks.
