No Image in FileManager after Upgrading

I have just upgraded from 4.2.2 to the latest version of C5 and all teh images that were in the filemanager are no all gone.
They all show up on the front end and i can see the files on the server via ftp. They even all show in the database in the FileVersions table.
Can anyone help?
