no public_html where should i install concrete file

Hello
I want to install concrete 5 on my server but i have no public_html folder. where should i install concrete 5 without erasing the current web site.

You could install it under your current site in a folder called concrete5. Then for example you would navigate to yoursite.com/concrete5 and your installation would be there working without messing with your current site!

Hello cespinosa,

You just have to install it in a folder within the "root directory" or the main folder your website loads from.

Depending where you are hosted, it may be named something different from public_html.

If you tell us where you are hosted, we can try and look it up.

DO NOT put it in your "root" because you will already have a file called index.html or index.php from your existing website,
If you want to keep your existing website intact follow enlil's advice and install it in a subfolder..
