Package Installing gives HTTP 500 error code

I'm having a strange error, but I'm new to C5, so perhaps someone can steer me in the right direction.
I have installed C5, everything seems to be working properly. However, I even tested a bunch of free themes, and they all downloaded/installed without a hitch.
The problem started occuring after I installed the "Forums" addon made by the same folks who created the C5 cms. The forum itself installed properly, but the two themes I purchased afterwards would not install. It would allow me to download the theme through the dashboard, but installation would lead me to a " HTTP 500 " error.
I tried what I could, but then I decided to uninstall the "Forum" software just to check. Strangely, the theme installed just fine. The second theme however gave the same error. I therefore did the same with the firt theme by removing it, and then the second would installed without a hitch, but nothing else afterwards. I don't get why this is happening!
The most I could do was install the first theme, and lastly install the forum software. I can't everything on it however. I'm not sure what's going on. I have the lastest release of C5 as of June 8th 2011.
