Permissions Denied error on install

Hi,
I'm trying to install concrete5 on my server. When installng, the following error occurs:
Followed by a large Trace. I suspect it has sth. to do with the PHP on the server, which is configured as follows: 5.3.28 on the server, 5.6 (CGI/FPM) module domain. I cant find a .htaccess file.
