Planning for complete turnover to a client
Permalink
Hi All,
I'm new (VERY new) to Concrete5... I'm planning on using it for the first time for an upcoming project. The client will be providing their own hosting environment... so I'll need to be turning the project over to them completely - lock, stock & barrel. They'll be maintaining all of the content themselves, etc.
So... my question is: how do I do that? I'm hoping to have access to their server in order to get everything setup for them, then just turn over the keys. But what if that isn't the case? What if I just have to send them a ZIP file (or something) and some instructions and they're going to do it themselves?
Are there any guides available that cover this?
Are there any "gotchas" I should be aware of?
Is there anyone who might be available to save me from myself should everything go horribly wrong? LOL!
Thanks!

Thanks for the link to that great user guide! Looks like it will be a great resource!
And excellent advice about the user account used for creating the site. I was completely unaware of that as a possible issue... so now, at least, I know about it and know I can turn it over to them once we go live.
THANKS!

Ryan posted a really good guide in this post http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/documentation_efforts/a-q...
Also: Keep in mind that when you launch the site, the log in email should be your clients unless you're going to remain an admin to help them out later. If you are / have already installed it in your name, you can help your client join C5 and then add them as a contributor to your project page, after which you can switch ownership to them and remove yourself from the project.
