Problem after instaling 5.4.2 update.

I am new to concrete5 and I have just started to build my website. After installing the update, when I click on different pages the screen flashes to white before loading the page, when I click back to the other page it happens again. I tried changing the theme but it made no difference. This happens when I am logged out, as a normal viewer. I am reluctant to keep adding more pages and info as I am worried that the problem might remain. Is it possible to revert back to the earlier version as this was not happening then?

Thanks jelthure for the concern. After playing around as much as I knew how I decided to uninstall this version and reinstall the previous version. Luckily I hadn't got too far with the site build as I now have to start again.

I noticed the same thing but only in the back-end

I upgraded one site to 5.4.2 and it worked just fine. Then I went to upgrade the second site and it brought my site down completely. All I get now is just a blank white page. Both sites BTW were on the same previous version. Now how do I fix the broken site?
