Problem Godaddy installation of 5.7.x - seems nobody gives a sh*t

Concrete5 version 5.7.3 on godaddy with multiple domains
I'm trying to install concrete5 on godaddy, and seem to have a not so unique issue. I'm trying to install concrete on a linux server that's hosting multiple domains. Because of this the site is structured as this eg.:
webroot
-domain1 (corresponding to domain1.com)
--domains contents
-domain2
--domains contents
--etc.
So, I'm trying to install concrete to one of these domains. I have followed their tutorial on
installing it and set cgi.fix_pathinfo = 1. I enter my domain to visit the site (my-site for
example), but it redirects me to this URL below:
my-site.com/my-site/index.php/install
although I have installed the files (unzipped ones) to root of my-site.com
Why does Concrete5 have no good solution for this rather big issue (have seen many problems alike! - Is this the reason why concrete5 is still not as known as Wordpress?)? I have not seen any solutions that truly work this far! I cannot believe that I am the only one with this problem so why has this not been resolved with a standard solution concerning GD.
Going elsewhere (away from GD) is the only option that I have seen mentioned along with many trial and failing "solutions" that did not work... this is not an option for many though to change providers so easily especially if it concerns a client/company etc! So is there or is there not a solution to get it to work on Godaddy? Easiest way is for me to keep on trucking with Wordpress, but I got curious about this CMS. Do not please make me regret my curiosity. I liked what I saw.... untill I tried to install and got a blank page with nothing and a wrong url ....
I am just beginning with C5 and so far I have been very dissappointed after spending awful many tries in vain. PLEASE HELP!!! Any true guru out here that has the solution instead of guesswork?
All seemed so easy... but I just cannot believe that C5 would not be installable in an environment like Godaddy ... one of the biggest. Is there a reason for this I do not know of why it should not be able?

Oh ... and the help I got from support at GD was not helping at all. So I hope a true guru with a working solution (standard for all) will show up in this thread. Thanks in advance. I do seem a bit sour in my opening thread... that is a juicy bit of frustration flowing, sorry about that folks.
You have to keep in mind that with GoDaddy you have 100's of thousands of servers all with COMPLETELY different configurations. So one thread saying "this is the fix for godaddy", well, that was the fix for GoDaddy on that particular server environment.
This is why GoDaddy is $4/month.
It works, but it's slow and not everything you throw at it is great.
Comparing WP to Concrete5 in a popularity contest is not really fair either. I'm sure more people visit and have heard of McDonalds over say Five Guys Burgers.

I moved my sites over to Siteground because they provide Concrete5 specific support and have been very responsive. Still keep my domains registered with GD (that is a real pain to shift). I have several single site hosting packages there and a couple that host a bunch of smaller domains. They often have good deals on the first year of hosting, and the price after that isn't bad.
If concrete5 is in the root of the web server
Place this .htaccess in the root folder
RewriteEngine On
Options -Multiviews
RewriteRule ^index.php/(.*) /index.php [nocase,last]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}/index.php !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}/index.html !-f
RewriteRule ^(.+) index.php [last]

RewriteRule ^index.php/(.*) /index.php [nocase,last]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}/index.php !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}/index.html !-f
RewriteRule ^(.+) index.php [last]
This does not work.
I asked GD support and we worked at it for almost 2 hours.
NO result. Seems that they did not know what to do (not the first time!)
If I make a folder under the root and make/map it into a domain dedicated folder (a website under the root). Then I think that that is the problem where concrete5 is not a match to Wordpress! Never had problems with Wordpress so why do I have problems with Concrete5.
For example... when I get the first page (choose language) open all seems well... but then when the second page opens where the test is done then ALL pictures do NOT show.
The reference is something likehttp://www.mydomain.com/mydomain(name... is repeated again)/concrete/....etc......jpg
Root
---- website (www.mydomain.com)
It does not install as easily as Wordpress in such a domaindedicated folder.
I have a classic shared hosting Linux package in which I can have as many domains I want to under the root. Php version 5.4. Unlimited Websites. Unlimited Storage .Unlimited Bandwidth.
Why is this so hard?? Even if GD has 100s of different hosting servers. I get Wordpress to sit on these hosting plans without too much hassle. If I have a luksus planhttps://www.godaddy.com/hosting/web-hosting.aspx?ci=76769&countr... that makes it possibel to host many websites... why does Concrete5 has somuch trouble?? Is concrete ONLY to be used in the purest root folder (public_html) ???? and not possible in website folders under that root??
That is one poor CMS in my opinion. Why has concrete5 not been trying at least to make some changes so that it will work in as many environments as possible.
It seems to be a common problem if I look at forums! Wordpress has not that problem! In my opinion it is something Concrete5 team should work on to get more popular.
I still have had NO possibility to install and play with Concrete5. I would like to switch to C5, but it is made impossible this far and believe me I have tried.

Hi,
Have you tried the suggestions from here:http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/usage/pretty-urls-and-god...
Seems like a URL rewrite type issue or config issue which I'm sure there is a solution to and once you've found it you will be able to run your sites trouble free.
Thanks
Dave
