Check the boxes next to the images, and choose "Rescan" from the "**" dropdown menu.

Are the images showing up on your normal site pages? If not, it is probably a permissions issue with your /files/ directory on your server.

done - rescan is unfortunately useless.. images are not shown in the "normal" frontend pages either. if i open an image in a new window, i get

"Not Found
The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server."

the files folder has permission 777 - more is not possible, right?

so, what else can i do?

solved

i had a worpress installation also running on this server. i killed this installation completely and now concrete5 is running ... strange, strange. but obviously a permission problem..

thanx for support.

Glad you got it solved. It was probably not a permission problem but instead the "pretty url" settings for wordpress were interfering with C5 (for example, perhaps Wordpress settings didn't make an exception for the /files/ directory, so the system was trying to load an image file as if it were a php page).
