Problems After Moving 5.5.1 Site
Permalink
I have just transferred my 5.5.1 site from one host provider to another and, while I can see and edit my content, the dashboard is messed up. It still looks like the old 5.4.2 dashboard layout (see screenshot attached), but with new menu wording (e.g. Stacks and Blocks). Some of the menu options just show a blank page when clicked (e.g. Extend Concrete 5 and Dashboard) and others (e.g. System & Settings) give a Page Not Found error. Also the file manager won't allow me to upload any files. I get an error (Unable to copy file to storage directory. Please check permissions on your upload directory and ensure they can be written to by your web server.) I've checked the permissions on the files folder (777) and the sub-folders (755) which are just the same as they were on the original server.
The steps I took to move the site were as follows (which I think are the same as detailed elsewhere in this forum and in the Concrete5 book):-
1. Turned off pretty URLs
2. Turned off cache and cleared cache.
3. Backed up database using the built in Concrete5 facility.
4. Copied the folder structure to my local machine. I didn't copy the contents of files/backups, files/cache, files/tmp or files/trash.
5. Imported the database into my new site using phpMyAdmin.
6. Uploaded the folder structure from my local machine.
7. Changed site.php to point to the new database.
If anyone has any ideas what might have happened here I would be very grateful as I have been pulling my hair out for the last four days !!
Thanks,
Pete
