Pushing changes to live site

After trying to push changes to live doing:
- 'svn up' and Navicat (MYSQL transfer) to copy the database and files to live
- clearing cache folders
- checking permissions on the files dir
The sideshow block and image blocks are working fine and templates / css is all showing.
BUT... I can't see any content blocks on the page.
What did I do wrong?
