Reinstall c5 from Server Backup (with a full cache and pretty urls set)

I have received a server backup from a provider. I tried to reinstall the site without success. I fear that the cache has not been emtied and pretty URL's are installed. The site is done with 5.7.5.9 und PHP Version 5.6.36.

Is there a way?

You can empty the cache by deleting everything in application/files/cache pretty urls might be fine.

What happens when you try to do it?

Still the same situation. After login I see an incomplete site without c5 toolbar. Pictures are missing, links lead to error page.

Ok, so the site works but the URLs are wrong. Can you get to the Dashboard by typing /dashboard and turn off Pretty URLs and clear the cache?

Before I got an 404 error.

Now it says:
Ein unerwarteter Fehler ist aufgetreten. = unexpected error occurred.
Die Kennung für den Authentifizierungstyp ist ungültig. = Authentication type is invalid.

.htaccess (or equivalent)?

I tried with and without .htaccess file in the root, - no action, same result.
