Restore from "backup"????

Hello,

My server crashed, and I lost the installation of C5. I had to install new drives. I do however have a backup I think. My backup files look like this.
db.2010-12-10 files.2010-12-10.tgz

I just don't know how to restore this to a working site.

I have installed the latest version of C5 (don't know what version I was running before)

Could someone get me going in the right direction.
