Restoring C5
Permalink
I'm having problems installing add-ons and have been told that I have to re-install concrete5 as I'm missing some files.
I have FTP set up and have downloaded the concrete5 zip files to my PC. I'm ready to go but can't find the concrete directory that I'm supposed to FTP the files into.
I've used the file manager in cPanel to go to the remote server but still can't find the concrete directory.
I see that the contents of the C5 zip file is almost identical to the public_html directory. Am I supposed to copy the C5 directory to public_html? If so do I lose any of my existing files?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Your database should be good but you can always back it up via the dashboard > system and Maintenance > Backup and Restore.
Do you have a lot of installed blocks already? If not the only thing besides the database you need is the root > config > site.php which contains your site settings.
