PS I realize that it may be because I have upgraded to the latest concrete5 5.6.0.2 :p but I'm hoping some adjustments mean I can use it for the latest version!

The 'Reviews' add-on is developed by the core team behind concrete5. It states it only works up to version 5.5.2.1 and my guess is the latest architectural changes and the new permissions model introduced in 5.6 might have something to do with it not being updated (yet). If you have already bought it you might ask in the add-on support forum for a possible solution, or at least ask if/when they are planning on releasing a new version.

thanks for the reply, and yep, that was pretty much what I was thinking. I have bought it and I see the changes may be coming soon :)

The fix for this is only one line of code. If you already have a license and you are comfortable editing the php code of the addon, make a support request over in the Reviews Addon page. I can tell you the change needed over there. If your not comfortable, still make a ticket in the Reviews support forum and then private message me with an ftp login and I can make the change for you. It's just changing the name of one function on one line.
