Server won't load first installer screen
Permalink
Hi There,
I'm new to c5 so sorry if this is simple.
I've successfully installed c5 about 3 times locally but on our dev server I'm having trouble even loading the first installer screen.
I've tried the following:
- Giving the config directory permissions of 777
- Re-downloading/uploading c5 incase the files were corrupt
- I checked to see if there was a file in the c5 directory called "INSTALL"
- Testing the same files locally to see if the installer shows up (which it does)
I also tried forcing the installer page to load by specifying various URLs:
/install/-/configure & /index.php/install/-/configure
But was kind of guessing by this stage!
When I browse to the URL I'm just seeing a standard page from my host saying the account is set up but that no site has been added.
Not sure what I've missed or how to troubleshoot the issue - any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Ben

If yes, that's your index.html (installed by your host). Try deleting that (I assume your concrete5 files are there too, especially the "index.php" file). Problem should be solved.
If no, Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…
