Showing domein in url instead of my noip address
Permalink
Hello,
My girlfriend has build a site and host her site on my own server. Everything works fine but that isn't my qeustion. Our router/modem is having an cache problem on the wireless part and instead of buying an extra router for wireless only my parents decided to put on an time switch so it will shutdown the modem for 5 minutes (doesn't matter because i granted my server to install the update's for it on that time and automaticily restart the system if needed.)
But the problem is now she have bought a domeinname for a cheap price so it will look a little bit better for her visitors. But when they enters the address Concrete shows or the noip address because my ip will change sometimes when the modem is had undergone a reset. But even if i redirect the domein to my ip address it is still showing my ip number.
So my qeustion is how can i make it that Concrete is showing just the domeinname.

Where you bought the domain name, you will need to change the DNS name server to your current ip address (will take some time to be effective). Problem is when your ip changes your site's offline until you update the DNS name server again....
