Site Transfer Failed

Exactly like I expected, I have transferred the site according to the official documentation. It couldn't connect to the database.
I am using Arvixe as my hosting service. One thing I can't figure out with Arvixe, why are the databases named like this: username_database?
I am using 5.6.1.2. I followed the doc to a T. Didn't work. Help!

look in your config/site.php does the connection user / pw match?
Username and password matched exactly.
Here is one other thing I was wondering: One of their support people told me to change the server name to localhost. Does this make sense? I can kinda understand that the server would refer to itself as the localhost.
