SOLVED: Sitemap unusable after 5.4 upgrade

Just jumped to 5.4 from last version of concrete and I have lost the ability to use the sitemap.

SITEMAP ISSUES:

In "Full Sitemap" mode I cannot expand to see children pages and the context menu does not appear when click on pages. Pages cannot be moved/copied and order cannot be changed.

In the "Folder View" mode I get the attached error message. I can browse through folder view to folders, but a similar message appears. The alert message loads immediately on page load.

In "Page Search" mode a similar alert message is displayed.

PAGE EDITING ISSUES:
Custom "Content" Block toolbar does not display (I assume this is because of the upgrade to TinyMCE - I probably need to adjust my custom format syntax. Along with that, custom style sheets for the TinyMCE editor have also been over-ridden. (Posted as an FYI for site admins) Any tips appreciated, I'll post if I fix. (edit: this has been reported in other threads)

EDIT: change title / content

Show Systems Pages checkbox does not perform any action either.

See image for current sitemap.

My sitemap problems only appear when using Google Chrome.

IE and Firefox appear fine. Everything works as expected. But with Chrome, the sitemap is completely broken.

Anyhow - I'll just use a different browser for now, but this probably should be investigated.

I have a similar problem in Safari (which makes sense as Chrome and Safari are both based on WebKit), but also in Firefox (which means I don't have a workaround).

In my case, for all of the Sitemap pages, I get a blank content area where the sitemap or whatever should be.

The HTML for Dashboard > Sitemap is pretty sparse, which leads me to think that the sitemap itself is built by JavaScript via an Ajax request.

The problem is, no resource is ever fetched via Ajax. There are no JavaScript errors on the page, either.

FWIW, it's not a caching issue (at least on the client side) because I opened the same pages in Firefox (which I hadn't used before to edit the site) and got the same result. Nav, but not content.

UPDATE: I went through all of the other nav options in the Dashboard. The same problem occurs throughout the Dashboard with the exception of File Manager, Add Functionality, and eCommerce. That should be a clue for the C5 guys as to what's causing the problem. PLEASE HELP as this makes the CMS (obviously) unusable.

This may be silly, but have you cleared your browser's cache?

It's only silly because I already said that I opened the same page in Firefox, which I'd never used to view the Dashboard, and had the same issue. ;-)

All the same, I did try clearing the browser cache and had the same result.

/facepalm for me....

Clearing the cache solved the problem.

Instructions:
Click the Customize and Control Google Chrome Icon (top right)
Go to Options
Click the "Under the Hood" tab
Click "Clear browsing data..."
Check "Empty the cache"
Clear data from this period: Everything
Click Clear browsing data
Refresh page and enjoy sitemap v 5.4

Thanks frz!

That's great...for you! :-)

We must have different issues going on. Clearing the browser cache didn't fix it for me.

..same here.. got the described error too.. clearing browser, or the c5 cache doesn't change anything.. the problem occurs on every browser i try.. don't know exactly if the failure was there before updating to 5.4.0.3, but i'm runnig this version know.. i also recently installed the domain mapper addon and my customer is waiting for me to configure it, wich i can't because of this problem..

..in other threads people said that they had problems with one particular page wich can't be deleted.. if that's the problem, does anyone know how to identify the trouble making page?

..measured on the count of threads about this problem, it seems to be something general..

AAARGH! I'm having the same problem! I updated and the Sitemap button just displays the spinning "loading" icon. I'm not a web developer, I hate going into HTML unless I absolutely have to. I tried reverting back to my previous version, but it still happens. So now I can't jump to a page to edit my site. Any updates to this situation??
