Slideshow only appearing when on Edit mode

Hi,

I've read countless other threads where people have encountered this but there doesn't appear to be a definitive answer.

I have set up the standard slideshow on my pages and I'm using my own templates. Everything works fine and looks fine when editing mode but as soon as I publish my changes they disappear.

From what I can see, JQuery is loading in the page but I don't think the actual slideshow script is when not logged in.

Not sure how to fix this.

I also set my Permissions to advanced early on by mistake and so can't undo, would this affect things? I've set the permissions on the page and the slideshow block manually to let users view them, does this mean, ordinary site visitors can view them. I uploaded the images to the file manager via multiple upload. Would these need to have permissions set for them also, as maybe they are being blocked outside of editing.

Any ideas welcome, C5 is really starting to get the better of me on some things.

thanks

Ok it turns out that the issue was with the permissions set on the images themselves.

So for anyone else dumb enough to mess with Advanced permissions when still learning C5 this is what will happen.

It entails overriding the permissions on each image which is painstakingly awful!
