Starting a new project
Permalink 1 user found helpful
Dear Community,
i've made a demo-project for playing around, so i'm a newbie in c5. I installed it with Bitnami installer. Now, i want to beginn a new project, but keep the old one. Do i have to make a complete new installation of concrete5 in another folder or is there a project manager or i must copy content or i have to use VM?
PS: I mean locally on my computer
Thank you
Steph

Thank you for your answer.
So i have eg. installed c5 in Folder d:\projecta, d:\projectb and d:\projectc and have only to set the local ports different at Installation process.
For Example:
http://127.0.0.1:34567/concrete5/... or http://localhost:45678/concrete5/...
http://127.0.0.1:34568/concrete5/...
http://127.0.0.1:34569/concrete5/...
and so on.
PS: I know there is a rewriterule out of the box in the Dashboard to eliminate the /concrete5/ part to make it like e.g.http://127.0.0.1:34569
I will try this and thank you very much
PS: I tried it and it works like a charme, only databases needs other service names and other ports also. Now, i have two projects at the same time locally running

icetea,
How did you accomplish this? Did you download a whole new stack or did you add an instance of C5 on the same server? If you did the later could you please elaborate as I want to do the same thing.
Thanks

If wanting to start another project from scratch then will need a new installation and new DB as well.
