Strange issues after upgrade to 5.6.0.2

Upgraded from 5.5.2.1 to 5.6.0.2, had to do it manually.

Since then, get a "Page Forbidden You are not authorized to access this page" screen on random pages (password reset for instance).

Also, the search index isn't being updated, is this an automated job, or do I need to set up something to run this automatically?

I don't have any overrides.

Any ideas?

There was a completely new permissions model introduced in 5.6 so might need to update your permission settings (edit and save).

No jobs are run automatically by default, but you can create a cron job to have them run at intervals.

I noticed the new permissions, thought I'd made a bunch of corrections. For example, the file manager doesn't allow guests to download files, so I updated that.

But what do I need to update to fix the password pages? That doesn't make sense to me, retrieving your password should be open to everyone by default... shouldn't it? I'm not even sure where to check for that.

I just noticed also that users with "Administrator" group cannot access the dashboard. Only the #1 user can.

Hello,
You said that you had to do that upgrade manually. Was there something that was not functioning that caused you to do it that way?

Best Wishes,
Mike
