Strange problems after Migrating to a NEW SERVER
Permalink
Strangest problem: C5 won't display or recognize any images or files uploaded which begin with a number. The thumbnails are blank when viewed in File Manager and they do not appear on the site at all; there is either a blank space or a red error message.
I changed the name of the files to begin with a letter instead of a number, reuploaded and now they appear fine. This was for both jpeg and swf files. This was not an issue prior to migrating to a new server...
Another more serious problem: for some reason, page lists do not work because they are not putting "index.php" before the prettyURLs. Worked fine on the old server, but now I'm getting a 404 error message. Unfortunately, adding a Page List block does not give me any option to change the linking structure; it just grabs however many pages and truncates the description and adds a link to the page all on its own.
This also affects the breadcrumb nav on the bottom of my pages which do not by default include "index.php" before the pretty URLs.
Very strange issues indeed.

Have exactly the same problem - was there a solution?
My solution was to redo the whole fsking thing. However, now that I know a great developer here on the forums, I would probably just hire him to do it for me and possibly explain what he did. However, I am at home now so I don't even have his company's name handy...if you are interested in a hookup, pm me and when I'm at work tomorrow I'll be able to give you his email. Good luck. Consider this an additional bump to the thread so someone else may help you, too.
