Theme & login page wont load when moving to new host
Permalink
I've moved to a new host and the theme doesn't load. All I see is the raw content, but no theme.
Also, when I try to login I get a page not found.
I've been trying to find a suitable hosting company and have uploaded the site to 4 hosts now. Each time, this exact same issue appears.
However, the first 3 hosting companies somehow resolved this issue, but I don't know what they did.
Now with the 4th hosting company I want to be able to advise them how to fix it to save the effort.
At first I thought mod_rewrite was off, but it it's on because I can navigate to sub pages with pretty url's on.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Can you link to your site? Also, can youhttp://www.pastie.org your config/site.php file (REMOVE PASSWORDS!!!).
I have a feeling it's a simple config issue that concrete5 can't find your theme files. (Thus, the 404 errors.)

i was wrong, i cannot access any page other than the home page - all other sub pages return 404, therefore the the css files also return 404 and so does login page.
I've gone over the config file and I can assure you it's correct - it's not a config issue. It's a server related issue.
The first host I tried had the exact same problem, but it was hosted on a zuse server and the mod_rewrites aren't supported by zuse. As soon as they moved the site to apache, problem was solved.
The second host ran apache servers and mod_rewrite was turned on, but the same issue occurred. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it ended up being .htaccess issue and the standard rewrite rules needed to be changed for it to work on their servers.
With the latest host, i have tried using both lots of rewrite rules and they dont work.
Perhaps they need different rules yet again?

Oops ... sorry, my bad!!
The .htaccess file disappeared for whatever reason - I've since replaced it and all works fine now.

I found this link:

I had already done the exact same steps, but didn't help.
Still stuck.

I can assure you they are there, for some reason concrete5 is not picking them up.
This is a server issue because the first 3 hosting companies sorted it out on their end.
