Trying to update the program but cant backup first

When I go to update our Concrete5 it suggests backing up the site. Our backup has "no known backups". I did not click Encrypt. But when I 'Run Backup' I get this error.

"This has not been implemented in 5.7"

After reading other threads here, I definitely do not want to update before a backup. Please help!

You need to login to your server and make backups of your database and your files system.
The database can be exported using phpMyAdmin and the files can be compressed to a zip archive and downloaded using the servers file manager.

He needs to make a backup of his files as well as the database.
So, this is very useful but probably not a complete solution.
Nice addon by the way, well done.
